Nasal Neti Pot

I recently came by a very interesting practice that I must say has benefited me and surprised me greatly. A process known as "Jal Neti" or Nasal Irrigation. Using a nasal neti pot water is poured into one side of the nostrils and drains out of the other, rinsing the sinuses.

Sounds freaky? I thought it did until I put it to the test and tried it myself. It's an odd feeling and you must make sure you use a salt water solution because plain faucet water tends to have too much chlorine. Nasal neti pot is an amasing device that can subdue many allergy reactions by rinsing the sinuses of bacteria some viral gersm, pollen particles, dust and many other things.

I even have allowed my 5 year old son to try it (with assistance) and although it was surprising to him too, he had me do it again and it helped to clear up a thick congestion that had bothered him for days.

The Yogis of India have performed nasal irrigation for centuries and the western world is now learning that rinsing with a nasal neti pot can be a real benefit to our health and sinus maintenance if used regularly. (Daily, about as often as you brush your teeth or shower).
